This Sunday from 1-4 the Kelly Gallery will be hosting Forest School a family friendly experience hosting:
"Back to earth Games, awareness skills and adventures in the magic forest and gardens of The Kelly Gallery on the edge of the Blue River Valley. Bring extra clothes in case you get wet and muddy.. Bring a water bottle and snacks to share if you'd like."
I'll be offering a mandala making session, come hang out, get dirty, and have fun at Forest School! Register to come via the meetup group HERE
Come create a work of art from natural materials gathered from the land. Using the ground as our canvas, we will create a Mandala together based on the principles of pattern and symmetry. Or if you'd like, use the materials and make your own!
Combining creativity and mindfulness - this session is a beautiful way to connect with the earth and local grounds, and to work together as a team to complete beautiful art as one unit.
The word "mandala" is from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit. Loosely translated to mean "circle," a mandala is far more than a simple shape. It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a model for the organizational structure of life itself--a universal diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds.
We'll leave not only feeling balanced within, but left with a beautiful visual representation of our collective energy working together in harmony, as well.
Park at the last entrance at very end down the hill of Antioch road. Turn left onto the gate . Park facing the field and meet at the white gazebo by the pond. Optional donation is appreciated of any amount to keep these educational experiences alive and growing! Thank you! We love you and your kids!!!
